What is Dual Boot ?
Dual-boot is a term used to describe a computer that utilizes two operating systems. For example, with a dual-boot you could have Windows and Linux on the same machine.
How to Dual Boot ?
Here we are dual booting Windows and Linux OS.
Firstly for Dual boot Linux into Windows you have to open Windows BIOS menu.
What is BIOS Menu ?
BIOS stands for “Basic Input/Output System”, and is a type of firmware stored on a chip on your motherboard. When you start your computer, the computers boots the BIOS, which configures your hardware before handing off to a boot device (usually your hard drive).
Here are some steps to open BIOS menu in Windows:
Step 1: Properly shut down Windows OS.
Step 2: Start laptop again and continuously press F10 function key.(F10 for HP laptops)

- Acer: F2 or DEL
- ASUS: F2 for all PCs, F2 or DEL for motherboards
- Dell: F2 or F12
- HP: ESC or F10
- Lenovo: F2 or Fn + F2
- Lenovo (Desktops): F1
- Lenovo (ThinkPads): Enter + F1.
- MSI: DEL for motherboards and PCs
- Microsoft Surface Tablets: Press and hold volume up button.
- Origin PC: F2
- Samsung: F2
- Sony: F1, F2, or F3
- Toshiba: F2
Step 3: Open BIOS menu
Step 5: Go to Boot options with use of Down arrow key.
Step 6: In here Disable Secure boot option.
Now only you have to do is do partition of 40GB or more accordingly to you in hard drive.
Step 7: Firstly Open Windows, press Windows + R and run command diskmgmt
A window will get pop-up of diskmgmt
Step 9: Now Restart laptop and connect USB Drive to laptop as soon as laptop will wake up continuously press F9 as we did before, to open Boot Manager.
Step 10: Select your USB disk here and install Kali installer which is already downloaded in your USB.
Afterwards all you have to do is install Kali Installer.
